A trip to Vagamon

                                                                                                 Nov 27 sun
                   A Trip to Vagamon

We, the 3rd batch students of BDS, were searching some destinations in and around Muvattupuzha to celebrate our 6th anniversary of college life. After a long discussion among us we decided Vagamon. It was very nice trip with all classmates after a long period.

Vagamon is a hill station located in Kottayam–Idukki border of Kerala, India. It has a warm and friendly area with cool climate as its temperature will be between 10 and 23 degree Celsius during a summer midday. It is situated 1,100 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by tea gardens, Beautiful meadows, deep valleys and dales and pine forests.
We started the trip at 8 am in a bus and reached there by 11am.
We were planning to go by 6 or 6:30 am early morning, but some of my classmates got late. Thus our time schedule got changed totally and there were no enough time to roam around.

First we went to suicide point, walked nearly one kilometer from the main road to reach there. It was a breathtaking view and the only problem was the presence of leeches. Everybody was afraid of leeches.
We all got tired but the cool breeze of Vagaman compensated our tiredness.
After having buffet lunch from resort we went to the pine forest. It was thrilling to walk through the pine forest. Some of my classmates purchased some shawls from there….

Overall it was a treat for our eyes...

Bread Gulab Jamun
In hostel, we are having bread, butter, jam and omelet for breakfast on every Sunday. It was my favorite item in early days of my hostel life. Along with the passage of time I began to hate it. Now I don’t like this item and thought about new ideas. So I transformed the bread in to other varieties.
One of these varieties was bread roast…….
Yesterday my roommate brought Haldiram’s gulab jamun and rasagula from her home. I like gulab jamun very much. I got only three gulab jamuns and I was not satisfied with those ones. Then I thought about bread gulab jamun and prepared it with bread, milk powder and butter and also made use of the sugar syrup of Haldiram’s gulab jamun.
It was very tasty and my roommates finished it very soon.

 Ingredients

1. Bread
2. Milk
3. Butter
4. Sugar and salt
5. Oil to fry

Procedure:

1. Cut the brown part in the breads and then add milk and some sugar, salt and butter. Make them in to a soft chapatti dough consistency and make small balls.(Adjust milk according to the number of breads)
2. Heat oil/ghee in a pan.
3. Add the bread balls and fry till they turn brown in medium heat.
4. Drop them in syrup and let it soak for at least 24 hrs

Fried Icecream

Fried ice cream is a dessert made of a breaded scoop of ice cream that is quickly deep-fried creating a warm, crispy shell around the still-cold ice cream. The icec ream which is used is frozen well below the standard temperature usually the icecream kept so that it does not melt when it fried. Also the ice cream is not directly fried but it is coated with something like corn flakes, biscuit crumps or cookies......I am planning to try this, before that i wish to taste that...
